Anglican Centre in Rome : York Weekend on ARCIC III - October 11 + 12, 2014

SATURDAY 11TH OCTOBER – 11am – 4pm at Clements Hall
York Open Meeting The Synod of Whitby (664AD) : The Church Universal and Local – ARCIC III
  • Dr Clare Stancliffe, Honorary Reader in Ecclesiastical History at Durham University with a research interest in Christianity in Northumbria to 800
  • Father Henry Wansbrough, Emeritus Member of the Faculty of Theology at Oxford, a Benedictine monk at Ampleforth Abbey and a member of the Anglican-Roman Catholic International Commission (ARCIC III).
Lunch provided – cost £20 per head (£10 for those in full time education)



SUNDAY 12TH OCTOBER 2014
Pilgrimage to Whitby, Lastingham and Rosedale
A short pilgrimage following on from the Open Meeting, to embrace some of the significant Christian sites in North Yorkshire. Overnight at Sneaton Castle, Whitby. £32.60 a head for B & B, plus £13 for a 2 course evening meal on arrival
